Product image lab
Plan a clean product hero image
Control the camera, background, and light before adding props.
What you’ll make
Create a product concept image with one clear focal point and room for a headline.
Step by step
- Photograph your own product or use a reference you have permission to use. Choose a view that shows its actual shape and label. List the features that must remain accurate, such as the cap, handle, seams, or packaging proportions.
- Choose the intended crop before generating. A square storefront image and a vertical social image need different space around the object. Sketch the product position and leave a deliberate blank area for text added later.
- Describe one surface, one background, and one main light. Start without decorative props. Use a reference-capable workflow in ArtFlame.ai when you need to preserve a specific product rather than invent a new object.
- Inspect the result against the reference. Add logos and exact copy in your normal design editor when generated lettering is unreliable. For a sales listing, use actual product photography wherever the generated image misrepresents the item.
Example prompt
Use the supplied product as the reference. A single matte ceramic travel cup on a pale blue studio surface, soft key light from camera left, subtle contact shadow, straight vertical edges, product in the right half of a square composition, empty left half for a headline added later.
Review your result
Check label spelling, dimensions, material, shadow direction, and any reflections. The background can be imaginative; the product shown to a customer must be accurate.
If the first attempt misses
If the product appears to float, ask for a visible contact shadow and a clear supporting surface. If the label mutates, composite the original product into the generated background.
Your next exercise
Make two background colors with the same framing. Choose the version that separates the product silhouette most clearly at thumbnail size.
